Broken ankle, walked on it for 2 weeks with a walker thinking it was a sprain. Caused a lot of damage when i finally went to doctor because of pain & swelling. Dr. Cody Togher foot & ankle surgeon, looked at xray & admitted me to NCH immediately & operated next day. June 1st. Walking now without any pain & no limp. He & his team are the best.

I am a victim of Charcot disease, and I have endured the pain associated with this disease for years. I was finally able to find Dr. Togher after visiting several doctors and after two surgeries (8 weeks apart) and 22 total weeks of no weight bearing on my left foot, I am very pleased with the final result. Dr. Togher was always confident in his abilities but never sugar coated the expectations. With this disease, feet are often amputated and, although that chance was always in the back of my head, I was confident in Dr. Togher, and I did exactly what he told me to do. The two surgeries were very long (roughly 6 and 9 hours respectively yet, Dr. Togher wasn't worried about his fatigue, he was worried that my surgery be perfect. I believe that without Dr. Togher I would probably have had to have my foot amputated. The man is brilliant! UPDATE: I have since then had my right foot also worked on by Dr. Togher. Literally I had to go through 6 total surgeries (two times because of infection) but Dr. Togher was the one thing I could count on. The man is a genius and if youre having any kind of foot issues, i would not hesitate to seek him out. He is simply the best!

Dr Togher is fantastic!! I unfortunately had an accident in which my ankle broke in THREE places!! Horrible!! Dr Togher operated and now I have THREE plates and screws in my ankle!! It has been 21 months and often Dr Togher comes to mind when I am walking around because I have no pain!!! I am VERY thankful to Dr Togher for his skill, knowledge and professionalism!! My experience with the Joint Institute was a dark time of life but Dr Togher took very good care of me as well as the therapy team who were also so awesome!! Thank you ALL sooo much!!!

I have been wearing an AFO boot for approximately 10 years trying to nurse and arthritic and sports damaged right ankle.
When my podiatrist said he could do nothing more for me he sent me to Dr. Togher. I had right ankle fusion on January 9, 2024, nonweightbearing for two months and then a month in a walking cast. I am finally now able to walk in my sneakers. And I can’t tell you how much better I feel after the surgery. Dr. Togher is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone. He’s an excellent doctor and has taken tremendous care of me in time to explain what needs to be done
